Julia Epstein, MS, FNP, PMHNP-BC is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with a focus on adolescent and adult care. She received her BSN, MS, and FNP from Columbia University, PMHNP Post-Masters from George Washington University, and BA from the University of Michigan. Prior to her training as a PMHNP, Julia has worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner and member of the National Health Service Corps in community health centers and mobile medical units, treating families with complex medical and mental health issues. Her research includes studies in women’s health and infectious diseases.

Julia has expanded her practice to include psychiatry in order to assess and treat individuals who are having difficulty both emotionally and physically, recognizing that both physical health and mental health are key components in healing.

As a PMHNP, she has experience in out-patient, partial care (IOP) and community mental health settings. Her treatment is collaborative and research-driven. Her approach is empathetic, holistic and patient-centric. She works closely with her clients to set realistic goals and creates individualized treatment plans. Julia is available for talk therapy, medication evaluation and management, or a combination of both medication and talk therapy.
