She/Her
One of my greatest joys is holding space for my clients as they explore their inner worlds. The most magical thing happens when we experience a soft, judgment-free therapeutic relationship: we start to take up space in that relationship in ways that feel more authentic and aligned with who we are. And soon, through a mix of curiosity and experimentation, we learn how to create a similar sense of safety for ourselves in the rest of the world.
I received my master’s degree in counseling from Southern Methodist University in 2018 and was first licensed in Vermont. I have been training in Somatic Experiencing since 2022, and anticipate earning my Somatic Experiencing Practitioner credential in 2025.
I’ve worked in a variety of mental health and educational settings, and have worked primarily with clients affected by trauma, anxiety and depression. Some of my “niche” populations have included the transition age group (I consider this to be 18-30 years old), creatives of all varieties, the neurodivergent community, and anyone interested in exploring their connection with their body through the lenses of Polyvagal Theory and Somatic Experiencing.
When I’m not writing bios for websites, I enjoy playing the piano, spending time outdoors, reading fantasy novels, and low-brow humor. I’m a vegetarian living in Portland with my partner (also vegetarian) and my dog (regrets that we are vegetarians, but is given plenty of cheese). We have many plants.
