She/Her
Hi there! My name is Anita and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Oregon who holds a Masters in Clinical Counseling from Saybrook University. I believe that therapy is a space where you can feel seen, understood, and supported without judgment. My approach is warm, empathetic, and collaborative. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
I specialize in supporting clients navigating anxiety, ADHD, behavioral concerns, depression, OCD, relationship challenges, and family dynamics. My work is grounded in trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), while also recognizing that every person’s experiences, strengths, and needs are unique. Together, we’ll work to better understand what’s getting in the way and develop practical tools to create meaningful change. I also utilize Motivational Interviewing, Parent-Child Interactive Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, and Internal Family Systems methods in the therapy setting.
As a queer therapist, I deeply value working with the LGBTQ+ community and strive to create an affirming and inclusive space for all clients. I also support gender-diverse individuals as they explore and navigate their identities and transitions, offering a space that is compassionate, affirming, and centered on each person’s individual journey. I am able to offer support letters as part of our work together as needed.
As a former college athlete, I also understand the unique pressures and complexities that can come with being an athlete. Performance, identity, injury, expectations, relationships, and the transition beyond sports can all have a significant impact on mental health. I enjoy helping athletes navigate these experiences while developing a healthier and more balanced relationship with themselves and their sport.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, struggling in a relationship, navigating a major transition, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, therapy can be a place to slow down, build insight, and move forward. My goal is to meet you where you are and create a therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, respected, and empowered to grow.
