Human connection is a vital part of all of us; through this connection we find support, solace, and strength. It is my privilege to be in a position where I can extend that support through a therapeutic relationship, and use my knowledge and compassion to help others thrive. By working with children and their families, I aim to provide children and teens with a safe and encouraging environment to support development of their sense of identity and capability, as well as equipping their environment to continue to foster this growth.

As someone who is neurodivergent and transgender myself (I personally identify as transmasc nonbinary), I have a passion for working with youth on the autism spectrum and youth with ADHD, as well as youth who identify as transgender/LGBT. It is crucial to support these young people with developing a healthy sense of self and belongingness, and to be able to develop a positive sense of identity in a world where they can feel so isolated and alienated. Additionally, I am drawn to working with children and families with trauma backgrounds, and have experience in treating mood, anxiety, and behavioral disorders.

With an approach grounded in Narrative Therapy, I conceptualize change using the perspective that we are all living our own “narrative”, the story we tell ourselves about our lives and who we are as people. These narratives are accumulations of internal and external experiences, and we can be both empowered and trapped within these narratives. By supporting individuals in understanding these personal narratives, we can recenter the individual’s right to author that narrative in a way that emphasizes personal strengths and values to create meaningful change. Along with this, I incorporate a variety of techniques including play therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and work from a trauma-informed lens using approaches of Collaborative Problem Solving and the Attachment, Regulation, and Competency Framework.

In my personal time, I like to be creative! I love to play tabletop games, make original characters, and write and draw original works for them.
