I believe that counseling is a process that is ever changing and evolving. I honor and cherish the opportunity to work with those looking to step forward in this journey, by reflecting and processing their lived experiences. Blending in my knowledge and own experiences ranging from Narrative therapy, Solution-Focused therapy and Person-Centered modalities, I hope these can meet your experience and help create the change you are searching for. I carry a desire to work with all people regardless of religious or sexual orientations, gender identity, race or ethnicities.
Relationships are such a crucial element to our experiences. This is why I start every therapeutic relationship as building a strong, transparent and trusting relationship with all of my clients. Coming from an Adlerian background, my training and practice emphasizes our various Social Circles, a Systemic perspective and identifying the “grey-ness” in our ever changing community. Whether you are seeking long term services or only consultation, embodying the importance of trusting relationships is the core.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents and young adults and operate from a systems focused background. Sometimes this means slowing things down to really see how complex our lives can be and how this can impact development and relationships for everyone involved.
A client that always motivates me and energizes me in this work is clients whom are new to counseling or therapy. I love to join folks in this time of their therapeutic journeys, and walk with them as they begin their internal process of change.
When not working with clients, I enjoy getting out in the woods and playing a round of disc golf. I also enjoy spending time volunteering within the community and going to Timbers and Thorns games with family and friends.
